Peruvian Pyrite
Origin: Huallanca, Peru
Dimensions: 20cm x 13cm x 14cm
Pyrite, commonly known as “fool’s gold”, derived its name from the Greek word pyr; meaning “fire” as it emits sparks when struck by iron. The neat cuboid forms you see here occur in its natural state.
